Straight: All the 5 cards in order, despite their suit, serve as either top or low card.
Three of a kind: If 3 among the hand’s cards have the same rank, it is called three of a kind.
Two pair: It includes two pairs and the value is determined by the highest pair.
Pair: It is called pair if 2 of the hand’s cards have the same rank.
High card: It is the highest value card in the lowest possible hand.
Step 3.
Know the betting rules: In each round of poker, you have to choose any of the following 4 options -
Check: Stay in the game without betting.
Bet or Raise: Challenge the other contestants by betting higher than the preceding bet.
Call: Stay in the game by betting the same amount put by the previous player.
Fold: Leave the game by giving up the hand.
Step 4.
Locate a poker room: There are several poker rooms. But you have to hit upon the right one. You can even try out free games for your practice as well as to get acquainted with the software.
Step 5.
Sit down: Following real poker tables, you will find ‘sit down’ option. Similarly you will find ‘stand up’ option at the end.
Step 6.
Play poker: Try to go after the game variant, the number of cards to draw and to replace along with the betting order.
Step 7.
Depart in time: If you feel that you have won a substantial amount, leave the table. It would be a smart move to avoid chances of losing.
